Shawn Morgan founded Cooperstown Cages in 2000 devoting himself to build athletes of tomorrow. Along with teaching batting and pitching lessons, he spearheads camps, leagues, weight training and teams that Cooperstown Cages offers.
Shawn started playing baseball at the age of 4. He continued his adolescent athletic career through Boswell High School lettering in 3 sports; football, basketball, and of course baseball. He played 1 year of baseball at North Central Texas College and 1 year at Grayson County College; Division 1 Junior Colleges. Shawn helped Grayson make the College World Series in 1998. Texas A&M Corpus Christi recruited him to play at their inaugural season, where he holds the “firsts” for all the school’s pitching records. Shawn played 5 years of professional baseball all over the country including Albany GA, Camden NJ, Greenville MS, Corpus Christi TX, and Fort Worth TX.
In 2006 he retired, allowing him to focus solely on the athletes of tomorrow.
