Strength Training with Rapid Intense Kinetic Exercise

We believe our biggest asset, which sets us apart from all of the other baseball clubs, is our STRIKE Training Clinic (Strength Training with Rapid Intense Kinetic Exercise). We have had 100s of college athletes, MiLB and MLB players come from our STRIKE program. It’s all about training like a PRO, putting in the work hours, and getting more exposure to coaches/PROS/peers.
STRIKE is a program created by Cooperstown Cages to help players individually learn how to improve their game by learning:
- Strength / Weight Training – proper lifting to avoid injury while gaining strength & explosiveness
- Speed & Agility – footwork and balance, correct poor form, straight line running
- Hitting with the HITTRAX Machine
- Long toss – reduce fatigue, improve velocity, refine throwing motion, improve accuracy
- Fielding – proper position, coordination, fundamentals
- Arm / Muscle Care & Maintenance – proper throwing techniques, velocity gains 7-20mph
- Yoga / Stretching – strengthen & loosen up while gaining max longevity, reduce injury
- Nutrition – learn how & what to eat, quality nutrition, sleep habits
- Self-Drive – solo skill development
- Team building – working with peers daily improves your own skills & the whole team’s performance
Every summer we run a 10 week program and every winter we run a 7-8 week program where each day the students go through a four station, two hour workout (each segment is 30 minutes) broken down as follows:
- Weight / Strength training
- Speed and Agility training
- Arm care / Yoga / Stretching
- Hitting / Throwing / Fielding / HITTRAX
We use a PREHAB approach. PREHAB is Pre-Emptive Rehabilitation that is all about injury PREVENTION – aiming to promote mobility, improve alertness and response times, and maximize stability.

The basics of sports nutrition and supplementation are shared with each athlete in order to educate and improve their overall health and athleticism. Each student is monitored from the first day of class to the last day of class, with the emphasis being on muscle growth, fat loss, and velocity. We chart each players test results throughout the program so each player can see their progress from beginning to end. We offer Protein Smoothies after your workout because we know the importance of protein to repair and rebuild muscle tissue. |
We believe our STRIKE program is second to none and we encourage all of our athletes to participate in this program. The STRIKE program is going to help your athlete get to the next level in baseball which is college and why we train our players the way we do by developing physical abilities and mental approach. STRIKE allows our upper level coaches to see and help develop each player on a daily basis. |

Our top COBRAS who sign with universities and colleges attend STRIKE for at least the high school sophomore through senior years and many even earlier than that!!! The earlier you start the better your success rate.
Hours of Work are crucial to get to College and beyond. STRIKE gives you 80 hours in Summer and 56 hours in Winter in the 4 day class for a total of 136 extra work hours, which is a big jump on the 200 extra hours per year (see the video above for more details on work hours).
